Mixology Monday LIV: See You On The Flipside
This month is a grand month. Why you ask? Aside from being a new year (so fresh, so clean), it’s also time for the next Mixology Monday. I must say, I’m quite excited to be hosting this round. I’ve been a big fan of MxMo for a good length of time and damn thrilled to offer up my “house” for this stellar everlasting online cocktail party.
This month’s event will go down on Monday, January 17th, and the theme will be: See You on the Flipside.
That’s right. Flips. You see, I figure this would be a great time to strategically use all this combined creative and crafty brainpower to build up a list of recipes to keep me loaded up on flips the entire year. They are, after all, a favorite of mine. I’ve heard some say that it’s a fall/winter drink only. I disagree apologetically. The flip is one of those cocktails that so successfully defies the seasons. When it’s cold and the icy chill is tearing it’s way through to our bones, the heated flip opens it’s arms and embraces us like a warm blanket. When it’s hot, the cool flip lowers the heat and can bring back that spring day memory of a creamy shake enjoyed on a front porch. There’s never a bad time or temperature to enjoy the frothy glory that is the flip. And that, my friends, is our challenge this month.
I’m sure all of us have had a year full of seasons. Ups and downs; hot and cold. It only seems right to join hands with a cocktail that brings the same variety and say goodbye to the last year, albeit a few weeks late, and welcome the new year.
If you would like to join in this month send me a message with a link to your post or post a comment here by midnight on January 17th. Remember to include a link to this website, and more importantly, a link to the Mixology Monday site. If you don’t have your own blog I’m happy to post your creation on this site, as a guest blogger. The only caveat is that I’d need to receive your submission no later than midday, or so, on the 15th.
So, with zeal in our hearts, let us go forward and mix us up a few good flips.
Cheers!
Update: The round up is live, right here. Enjoy.

Thanks for posting Travis. Glad you dig the theme. Never a bad time for a flip.
I have to admit, the idea of an egg in my drink freaks me out a bit, but this recipe looks so good I think I will have to give it a try. Here’s hoping…
